Laser Peel Treatment

Laser peels are an outstanding, safe, and effective way to remove damaged top layers of skin and make room for the growth of beautiful, new skin. In addition, laser skin treatment can help stimulate the growth of new collagen, which is essential for preserving and improving the youthful elasticity, thickness, and resilience of skin.

The Contour TRL peel can be used to help minimize and eliminate:

  • Deep wrinkles around the eyes
  • Deep wrinkles around the mouth
  • Dry, scaly patches or lesions on the skin (also known as actinic keratosis)
  • Pigmentation problems
  • Poor skin tone and texture
  • Scars
  • Sun spots (freckles), brown spots, and age spots

The Contour TRL peel includes a computer-guided scanner that allows your laser technician to precisely target skin tissue to a specific depth while preserving surrounding tissue. The depth of your peel will depend on your desires and the unique needs of your skin.

Although most Contour laser peels are performed without a topical anesthetic, some deeper peels require a local anesthetic to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.

RECOVERING FROM A CONTOUR LASER PEEL

After your laser peel, you will likely experience some redness and swelling similar to a sunburn. You also will have some peeling and flaking that can be managed with a soothing, gentle, nonalcohol-based ointment or cream.

Immediately after treatment, you should apply a cold compress to help reduce redness and inflammation. You also should avoid makeup, moisturizers, creams, and perfumes for several days or more until your skin has healed.

Once your skin has healed, you must use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more whenever you are outside to avoid pigmentation problems.

    Contour Tunable FAQ
How much downtime will I have with this procedure?

Most clients need 3 to 4 days of downtime after a shallow laser peel before returning to their normal activities. If you are planning to have a deeper laser peel, you will need more time (possibly as much as a week) to heal properly. After evaluating your skin, your laser technician will discuss a realistic healing time with you that is based on your skin type and the anticipated depth of your peel.

    When will I see results?

You will see immediate results after your laser procedure; however, the greatest results will appear over 1 to several weeks as the older, damaged layers of skin gives way to healthy, new, younger-looking skin. If you have a deeper laser treatment, you will continue seeing positive changes for up to 3 months as you develop new collagen and your skin tightens and becomes more resilient.

How may treatments will I need?

Most clients achieve outstanding results with only 1 Contour TRL peel, but some clients have more than 1 treatment to achieve their goals.
