Every acne problem is distinct, which is why acne treatments should be customized to the individual. At True Medspa, we will tailor your treatment plan to attack acne on two fronts: from within the skin, and from the skin’s surface, by using a combination of broad spectrum light therapy and an advanced facial regime, consisting of treatments such as a chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Hydrafacial MD and topical medical grade skin care products.

Esthetic Treatments

Research shows that Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and Hydrafacial MD treatments can be effective acne treatments because they help stimulate cellular renewal which can stimulate new skin cells to replace the old, dead skin cells that are notorious for clogging pores that lead to acne break outs. It is also important that you maintain your skin care at home. A medical grade product regimen that is tailored to the type of acne you are experiencing can help reduce the reoccurrence of acne. Our highly trained estheticians will create a plan that fits your needs.

laser acne treatment

  • Light Therapy shrinks sebaceous (oil) production
  • Helps destroy bacteria deep with in your pores
  • Only a few treatments needed for clear skin

Laser acne treatment helps to reduce acne in two distinct ways. The first benefit of Laser acne treatment is the destruction of the Bacteria that causes inflammation and acne breakouts. Bacteria can cause acne when it gets clogged in a hair follicle without oxygen. Laser acne therapy aims to penetrate the clogged follicle, bringing in oxygen, destroying the bacteria.

The second way laser acne treatments help to reduce acne is by heating your sebaceous gland (the gland that produces your skin’s oil.) When the oil gland is heated, it shrinks and produces less oil.

Research has shown that laser therapy can also diminish the appearance of acne scars.

This skin problem can be caused by hormonal changes (such as during menstrual periods, puberty, or pregnancy), high stress levels, humidity, sweating, birth control pills, and use of greasy and oily skin products.

How many treatments will I need?

The amount of treatments depends on your skin condition and unique skin type.  A typical treatment plan includes three BBL light therapy treatments and three VI peel treatments.
